PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Portland Fire & Rescue crews were responding Saturday afternoon to reports of a high-rise kitchen fire near Northeast 2nd Avenue and Burnside Street, with initial reports indicating smoke was visible from a high floor.
In a post made on X at 1:46 p.m. on Saturday, Portland Fire & Rescue said crews were responding to the call near Northeast 2nd and Burnside and that “there is smoke showing from the 14th floor.”
