ROBINSON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 26, 2026) – A violent weekend along the Lakeshore continued during the overnight hours on Sunday with a report of shots being fired in the Bass River Recreational Area between Allendale and Grand Haven.
When Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived in the vicinity of 104th Avenue and Bass River Road around 2:30 AM, what was described as a “large” party of both adults and youths, which had gathered there, already dispersed. Apparently, an argument broke out, and a single shooter fired at a group of unarmed persons, causing several wounds, and sparking the fleeing of the scene by an undisclosed number of persons.
One youth was found near M-231 and Lincoln Avenue, while a vehicle which had three wounded persons inside had stopped on Mercury Drive near 112th Avenue. All of those involved were taken to unnamed “area hospitals” for treatment, while another medical facility reported receiving another victim of this incident…
