Now, Sooners edge rusher Taylor Wein is using the same silly method.“It’s not a sense of urgency; they are just one of the games we play this (year),” Wein said at SEC Media Days.

Texas has dominated Oklahoma in the last two Red River Rivalry matchups, winning 23-6 in 2025 and 34-3 in 2024. Notably, Oklahoma hasn’t scored a touchdown in those contests. Over the past five meetings, Texas holds a slight 3-2 edge. Oklahoma won a thriller in 2023 (34-30), while Texas shut out the Sooners in 2022 (49-0). Oklahoma’s last victory before that came in an offensive shootout in 2021 (55-48).
