SAN ANTONIO – A community support group is calling for a rally outside the Bexar County Jail on July 26 to push for changes at the facility and to honor people who have died while in custody.
A flyer posted by the Bexar County Jail Family and Friends Support Group announces a “Rally for Reform” set for 6 p.m. in front of the jail. The group says free parking will be available in the garage.
The flyer urges people to attend, including “friends, family, and jail employees,” and links inmate welfare to staff safety, stating: “Inmates’ living conditions are officers’ working conditions.”…
