MoDOT holds public meetings for Route 60 projects

(KODE/KSNF) — The Missouri Department of Transportation is giving residents an early look at future improvements to Route 60 in Barry and Lawrence Counties.

MODOT will hold an in-person public meeting Tuesday, August 4, from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Aurora Recreation Center. Residents can also find a virtual meeting on MODOT’s website beginning Tuesday through August 11.

Both meetings give attendees the chance to learn more about road work scheduled to start in Spring of 2027.

That construction will be between Missouri Route 37 in Monett, and 14 in Marionville. Crews will resurface the road, as well as add permanent striping, rumble strips, and guardrails. Seven intersections will get turn lanes and one will be converted to a roundabout.

The total cost for the project is expected to be around $14.2 million…
