An EMT worker, who says she turned off cameras pointed at patients in the back of ambulances, has filed an $800,000 lawsuit – claiming she was fired for protecting the privacy of patients who were unaware they were being filmed.
Brittany Martin, a former emergency medical technician for Metro West — which provides ambulance services across Portland, Oregon — filed a wrongful termination lawsuit in Multnomah County Circuit Court against her previous employer last month.
According to emergency medical news outlet EMS1, Martin claims that the privately owned ambulance company began installing cameras in late 2025 or early 2026.
