T-Mobile Experiences Widespread Service Outages Affecting Thousands of Users
On July 27, T-Mobile customers across the country have encountered significant disruptions to their mobile service. According to data from Downdetector, over 61,000 users have reported issues within the past 24 hours.
Many users have taken to Downdetector’s platform to describe their phones displaying “SOS” mode and an inability to connect to the network. Nearly 50% of the reported problems involve mobile phone connectivity.
In response, T-Mobile issued a statement to USA TODAY acknowledging the technical difficulties. The company assured customers that their teams are actively addressing the problem and prioritizing restoration of full service.
“Any service impacts are in the process of being resolved and are our highest priority,” the statement read. “We know how critical it is to stay connected, and every available resource is focused on resolving this as quickly as possible.”
This situation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
