MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that southbound I-75 will be restricted to one lane overnight north of Ocala as demolition work commences on the 66th Street bridge.
Starting Monday, July 27, 2026, the interstate will narrow to one lane from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. The work will continue nights through Thursday, then resume the following Sunday.
“During this nighttime demolition work, southbound traffic will merge from three lanes to one lane, which will gradually veer away from the work zone at the bridge before returning to three lanes,” read an announcement. “The speed limit on southbound I-75 will be reduced to 60 mph approaching the bridge, and concrete dividers will guide motorists through the work zone.”…
