Pflugerville Returns to Stage 1 Water Conservation

The City of Pflugerville has returned to Standard Stage 1 water conservation measures, effective immediately, allowing residents greater flexibility for outdoor water use.

Under the updated restrictions, City water customers may use automatic irrigation once per week on their designated watering day before 8 am or after 7 pm, wash outdoor surfaces once per week on their designated watering day at any time and fill swimming pools.

City officials said the change was made possible after new filtration equipment, known as membranes, was installed at the Surface Water Treatment Plant. The upgrades increased the plant’s daily treatment capacity by 50%, from 8 million gallons to 12 million gallons of water…
