CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Pregnancy and childbirth can bring a lot of questions, especially for first-time mothers, and Mercy Health is expanding access to midwives as part of its women’s health care team.
Midwives are part of the care team at Mercy Health, where the Family Birthing Center has five midwives on staff who serve alongside physicians who specialize in women’s health. Kate Frizzell, a certified nurse midwife at Mercy Health, said midwives are advanced practice providers with specialized training.
