Rochester, N.Y. — The Rochester City School District kicked off its summer learning program on Monday.
The program offers opportunities to keep students of all ages inspired and on track for graduation.
“If we can close the gap before they get into middle school, it’s highly unlikely they will drop out in high school,” said LaShay Harris, the Rochester Counsel Vice-President. “So we can start that process of keeping the kids in school early by closing the gap on the learning loss while in their grade school years.”…
