A Mississippi deputy is recovering in critical condition following a weekend two-vehicle crash while responding to an emergency call.
The collision occurred around 3:42 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 80 near Shiloh Parkway. According to officials, the eastbound deputy had to be extricated from the wreckage by emergency responders. Pafford Ambulance Service transported the officer to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
