MILLSAPS COLLEGE HAS announced the addition of Thomas Watkins as an assistant coach for its men’s and women’s golf programs. The college’s athletics department made the announcement Monday.
“I’m honored to join the Millsaps College golf program as assistant coach,” Watkins said. “Thank you to Coach Fluty and the athletic department for this opportunity. I’m excited to help develop our student-athletes and begin this new chapter of my coaching career.”
Watkins brings a background in athletic coaching, team development, program management, and technical instruction. He was recently recognized by Golf Digest as one of the Best Young Teachers in America for 2025-2026. In 2022, he was named a Best Teacher in Mississippi by the publication.
