A Myrtle Beach movie theater will undergo major renovations this year, making it the only theater in the area with an IMAX screen.
The GTC Grand 14 Theater, located in The Market Common, is getting an IMAX auditorium, reclining seats and the option for movie-goers to buy some alcoholic beverages, the outdoor shopping mall announced in a press release on Tuesday.
Construction for the project is expected to happen in two phases with the first part occurring from September to mid-December. During this time, the theater will install the IMAX auditorium and will also upgrade six other auditoriums to include “luxury recliner seating and reserved seating.”…
