EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Triple-digit temperatures will remain in the forecast across the Borderland for the rest of the week, with an increased chance of thunderstorms heading into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, afternoon temperatures will run about 5 to 10 degrees above normal through Friday. Highs in lower-elevation areas are expected to range from 100 to 107 degrees each afternoon.
Heat advisories are in effect for portions of the region Tuesday as temperatures climb to around 105 degrees. This is expected to last for the rest of the week, particularly on Friday.
