PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – As wildfires scorch Oregon and Washington, the Northwest Coordination Center is working to get firefighters and other firefighting resources where they are needed most.
“Orders come into local dispatch centers to support fires and then as there’s competition for resources, we help sort that out,” spokesperson Lauren Maloney said.
As of now, she said more than 1.7 million acres have burned across the region…
