Sheriff: Man arrested at Salmon Creek Safeway for wrong-way driving on I-5

SALMON CREEK, Wash. (KPTV) – A man was arrested in Salmon Creek on Tuesday morning after deputies say he drove the wrong way on I-5 while falsely claiming he was being chased.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to reports of a car traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-5 near NE 179th St just before 8 a.m.

Around that time, the driver of the car, identified as 35-year-old Marvin Badilla, called 911 to report he was being chased.

Traffic cameras did not show any cars chasing or following Badilla’s silver Toyota Prius, according to the sheriff’s office…
