‘The worst part is not having her ashes with me.’ Former Clayton man waiting weeks for arrival of household property, including cremains following move

CLAYTON, Wash. — Moving can be one of the most stressful life events. For one former Spokane County man, his move also came on the heels of losing the love of his life. Nearly eight weeks after his belongings were packed up to be moved, he says he is still waiting on their arrival.

“This move has been hard enough on a man who is 82-years-old, and is also grieving,” loved one Heather Hammons said. “I cannot imagine…it’s heartbreaking to know he is sitting there with nothing but the clothes he put in a suitcase.”
