NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The man convicted in a 2016 school bus crash in Chattanooga that killed six children was arrested for assault last week in Nashville.
Johnthony Walker, 34, is facing seven charges for assaulting a woman and her child at an apartment on West Trinity Lane on Thursday, July 23.

Walker was convicted in 2018 on six counts of criminally negligent homicide after the crash killed six children from Woodmore Elementary School. He had lost control of the bus and caused it to strike a pole and a tree before it flipped onto its side. There were 37 children on the bus at the time of the crash and none of the victims were older than 10.
According to court documents, officers were called to the Trinity Lane apartment for a domestic disturbance and found a woman shaking and scared. She said she had broken up with Walker months earlier but he had secretly came to her home without being invited.
She said Walker came to the door and she opened it since she believed he did not know where she lived. Walker tackled the woman to the floor and took her phone before he assaulted her with it, according to Metro police…
