Family members have identified Desiderio “Desi” Romero V as the man who was shot and killed at the birthday party of a San Jose streamer over the weekend.
Romero, whose family affectionately called him “Pepper,” was killed in a mass shooting that injured several other people at the streamer Natedebaiit’s birthday party July 26 in an unincorporated area outside Morgan Hill, where more than 300 people gathered at what Santa Clara sheriff’s said was an unsanctioned event.
The GoFundMe had raised more than $25,000 as of Tuesday afternoon, and will go to funeral expenses, according to a person who identified herself as Romero’s aunt on the fundraiser. The aunt did not respond to a request for comment…
