HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — An investigation into alleged grade tampering at Horry-Georgetown Technical College found dozens of student grades were changed in ways that violated school policy, with most of the changes boosting students’ marks.
The investigation began after the South Carolina Office of the State Inspector General received a complaint in early 2026 alleging HGTC administrators had changed student grades.
