MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — There were no significant impacts in our area from the storms. We had a couple of strong thunderstorms, but most of the severe weather stayed in North Carolina and to our west in Georgia as the line of storms split north of Columbia after moving through Charlotte.
We’ll stay dry today, and while the cold front is only a few hours away from fully clearing the area, temperatures along the Grand Strand will remain on the warm side with high humidity. There is no Heat Advisory in effect, but highs will reach the low to mid 90s, with heat index values in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees.
Changes will begin to be felt tonight. Temperatures across the Pee Dee will fall into the upper 60s, while beach communities drop into the lower 70s…
