A critically-injured teenager was rescued Monday, July 27, following a fall down a 100-foot embankment while hiking in the Columbia River Gorge.
At 6 p.m. a 911 call was made about a 17-year-old boy who fell why hiking with his family in the John Yeon State Scenic Corridor. The teen fell down an embankment along the Elowah Falls Trail, east of Warrendale, landing in rough terrain around McCord Creek. He suffered significant injuries.
