BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man and woman were each sentenced to five years probation for causing the death of their infant daughter in 2023 due to malnutrition and dehydration, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Luis Gonzalez Jr., 26, and Kitrina Udrea, 23, previously pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in May.
Their child, 2 1/2-month old Londyn Gonzalez, died on July 7, 2023, as a result of neglect caused by malnutrition and dehydration, officials said. Gonzalez Jr. and and Udrea were told by medical providers during pediatric appointments in late April 2023 and early May 2023 to increase formula and feedings due to concerns about the baby’s declining weight.
