COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A property in a northeast Columbus neighborhood with a history of alleged crimes and a deceased owner was boarded up on Wednesday morning.
The house, which is located at East North Broadway Street in North Linden, was boarded up by city officials after a court order was secured, according to the office of Columbus city attorney Zach Klein.
Columbus police detectives began to send letters this year to those that maintain the property as nuisance activity increased, per the city attorney’s office. Officers were called out to the area days after initial letters were sent, leading to a lawsuit filing in Environmental Court.

Since 2022, the Columbus Division of Police were called out over 100 times to the location for various alleged crimes. Among the incidents that allegedly occurred at the property included domestic violence, mental health disturbances, a felonious assault, an overdose, and a report of burglaries and theft.
