(KRON) — State Sen. Aisha Wahab held a news conference in Oakland Wednesday announcing the state’s decision to intervene and monitor Alameda County’s Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
Wahab (D–Fremont) said the state’s actions this July are “the most serious steps the state can take short of a full takeover of a county’s child welfare system.”
