Corrections officer killed helping stranded driver on Interstate 95 in Boxford

NORTON, Mass. (WJAR) — A corrections officer from Bristol County is being remembered for his courage and selflessness after he was reportedly hit and killed on Interstate 95 in Boxford Monday night while trying to help a stranded motorist.

Cpl. Brett Martin of Norton had worked for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department for nearly 20 years.
