A fatal crash involving a motorcyclist has shut down traffic near Interstate 35 in Central Texas on Wednesday afternoon, July 29, according to area public safety officials.
In a social media post around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services confirmed a motorcyclist died after a crash on the highway flyover linking southbound I-35 with Ben White Boulevard. Officials said the motorcyclist crashed on the flyover before ultimately landing on the westbound Ben White Boulevard service road in South Austin.
