AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Animal Services is asking for the community’s help as the shelter reaches capacity with an increasing number of cats, kittens and larger dogs in its care.
The shelter said it is urgently looking for foster homes for 60 medium- to large-sized dogs, as well as temporary placements for cats and kittens. Officials said the recent influx of animals has left the shelter full.
People who volunteer to foster will receive food, supplies, medical care, medications and ongoing support from Austin Animal Services throughout the foster period…
