Columbus construction site ‘still not in compliance’ – and city withholds documents

The Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, an environmental watchdog, filed in May a lawsuit against SCorUSA, a Phenix City contractor working on a multifamily development project in Columbus, alleging “deplorable” construction site conditions violate the Clean Water Act’s best management practice for sediment control.

Two months later, compliance issues persist — and the Columbus Consolidated Government is withholding stop-work order documents.
