Former Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle actress Patricia Heaton faced major backlash from fans online after she showed support for a New York petition to ban Mayor Zohran Mamdani from the upcoming 9/11 anniversary events in September.
Heaton is one of many who have taken issue with New York City’s mayor, who is Muslim, and his attendance at the upcoming 25th anniversary commemorations for the 9/11 terror attacks, which killed 2,700 people at the World Trade Center complex, as well as all 265 passengers on American Airlines Flight 11 and 65 on board United Flight 175.
