Huntsville Animal Services will be participating in National Clear the Shelters Month in August.
It is a nationwide effort inviting residents to adopt, foster and support local animal welfare efforts. Throughout the month, Huntsville Animal Services will host patriotic‑themed pet adoption events under its 2026 banner, “Stars, Stripes & Second Chances.” HAS will waive adoption fees on select dates and special promotions designed to help every pet find a loving home.
“Our ‘Stars, Stripes & Second Chances’ campaign connects the spirit of community with the joy of pet adoption,” Animal Services Director John Fischer said in a news release. “Give a shelter pet the freedom to thrive this August. Whether you adopt, foster or volunteer, every act helps us clear the shelter and give animals a second chance.”…
