Bailey Street Lot Reaches a Crossroads After Development Defeat

Another proposal to build an apartment where the Bailey Street surface parking lot sits was voted down by the City Council earlier this month.

Bob Metzger represented the Fabian and Metzger families, who own the property, at City Council and commission meetings. He spoke with East Lansing Info about the recent council vote and the future of the parking lot after announcing at the same meeting that the family would be ending its partnership with the City of East Lansing, which means most of the public parking will be lost.
