PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A Fall River man has been sentenced to life in prison for a deadly shooting in Providence more than four years ago.
A judge sentenced Je’avonie Dorvil, 22, on Thursday in the shooting that killed 35-year-old Biniam Tsegai and injured 28-year-old Merhawi Berhe.
During the early morning hours of Jan. 16, 2022, officers found Tsegai and Berhe suffering from gunshot wounds inside a car at the intersection of Elmwood and Potters avenues. Both men were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, where Tsegai later died…
