A multijurisdictional investigation into suspected luxury vehicle thefts ended with three arrests after deputies said the driver of a stolen Range Rover rammed a law enforcement vehicle on Interstate 95 and tried to escape on foot.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said its South Florida Criminal Apprehension Team began watching a black Nissan Altima on July 28. Investigators believed the car was occupied by Raul J. Hernandez and Reheen L. Spencer, who were suspected of working together in high-end vehicle thefts across Florida.
According to arrest reports, agents followed the Altima from Palm Beach County north through Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties. The vehicle stopped at Toyota of Vero, where Hernandez allegedly asked to see a 2021 Mercedes-AMG G63 and requested that a salesperson start the engine…
