HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Although many can recall the catastrophic, deadly Middle Tennessee tornado outbreak of 2020, workers at Andrew Jackson’s The Hermitage recall a major tornado in 1998 that would forever alter parts of the property.
Tony Guzzi, Chief Experience Officer at The Hermitage, recalled the April 16, 1998 storm.
“Probably the saddest thing that I remember is our head gardener at the time walked up to me and said, Tony, everything’s changed,” Guzzi remembered. “The landscape looks completely different and he was in tears. So, it was a very emotional day for many members of the staff.”…
