372-unit housing development on Highway 905 kicked down the road again

CONWAY, S.C. — A proposal to bring nearly 400 new homes to the Highway 905-Old Reeves Ferry Road area has been deferred…again…until September.

The Horry County Planning Commission asked the developer to hold a community meeting with area residents before the rezoning and development agreement are considered by the commission.

The development agreement in question proposes building 372 new homes near the intersection of Highway 905 and Old Reaves Ferry Road. The 186.84-acre tract fronts both roads and is behind the Horry County Schools building on the corner…
