EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Independent School District held the first meeting of its new communications advisory group on Thursday as it looks for more direct input from families, students and the community amid the district’s financial struggles.
The district said the group is made up of EPISD employees, parents and community members, with officials stating the purpose is to provide feedback to help the district strengthen its communication efforts with the people it serves.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve our communication. This group gives us another way to hear directly from our community, our parents, from our students,” said Liza Rodriguez, EPISD’s chief communications officer. “We want to inform them, we want them to feel heard, we want them to know that we’re listening, and that we take their feedback, and that we want to do better.”…
