A single-vehicle crash at Crossland Avenue and Talley Drive in Clarksville caused the closure of an intersection for several hours Thursday morning and sent the driver to the hospital.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, the crash occurred at about 10 a.m. when a gray pickup truck struck a utility pole, bringing down utility lines, knocking out the traffic signal at the intersection and damaging a fire hydrant. The roadway was shut down for a lengthy amount of time as crews worked to replace the damage pole.
