50 stolen vehicles, parts worth $1.8 million seized in Southern California chop shop bust

Two suspects were arrested and dozens of stolen vehicles and vehicle parts were recovered after a monthslong investigation led to the discovery of an active chop shop in Norco, the California Highway Patrol announced Friday.

In April, authorities began an investigation into the theft of a motorcycle reported in Canyon Lake, which led investigators to an organized crime group allegedly responsible for multiple vehicle thefts across Southern California, the CHP said.

On July 29, multiple property-related search warrants were served by several agencies, including the CHP Inland Division, in Norco and Corona.
