Stockton families will have more reasons to spend their summer evenings outdoors as San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation launches Parks After Dark, a new series of free community events at neighborhood parks throughout Stockton.
The family-friendly program will feature outdoor movies, live music, games, activities and a special food truck night. The events are designed to bring families, friends and neighbors together while creating safe, welcoming and active public spaces.
Funded through a $100,000 Central Valley Park Access and Activation Grant from the Trust for Public Land, Parks After Dark was developed with direct input from community members. Residents helped shape the types of activities, services and park locations included in the program…
