Round Rock man killed after pickup crashes into Leander store

AUSTIN (KXAN) – A Round Rock man died after a single-vehicle crash Friday morning in Leander that sent his pickup truck into a tire shop building, according to City of Leander.

Emergency crews from the Leander Police Department, Leander Fire Department and Williamson County EMS responded around 7:26 a.m. to Goodyear Auto Service, 11245 Hero Way West, after reports of a crash. The only vehicle involved was a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck.

Investigators said the truck was traveling eastbound on Hero Way when it left the roadway near the intersection of Broade Way. The vehicle then crossed a business parking lot and crashed into the Goodyear Auto Service building, causing structural damage.

First responders found the driver in critical condition and immediately began lifesaving measures at the scene…
