New Orleans drivers will not need brake tags for the remainder of this year, following a state law ending vehicle safety check requirements in most Louisiana parishes.
Effective immediately, New Orleans police officers have been directed “to cease the issuance of citations for a motorist’s failure to display or produce a vehicle inspection sticker,” officials with Mayor Helena Moreno’s administration said Friday.
