OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – If you’re following the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, you may have noticed a livestream post there on Thursday afternoon.
Dashcam feeds from Sheriff Aaron Hanson and some DCSO deputies were featured in the Facebook Live showing Community Action Team (CAT) patrols along Skyline Drive.
The “CAT Cam LIVE” stream was an “inaugural” post — Sheriff Hanson says DCSO plans to do more in the future.
At the end of the video, he says the initiative, paid for by a Nebraska Department of Transportation education grant, aims to educate the public, “gain compliance,” and ultimately lead to safer streets…
