PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The U.S. Park Police is investigating after officers fired a weapon during their response to an armed person in Fort Washington Park on Friday.
According to the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, officers responded at 6:18 p.m. to reports of an active shooter.

Once police arrived at the scene, the person pulled out a handgun, resulting in the officer discharging their firearm.
