Luminis Health says both of its hospitals were placed on Code Black and lockdown after receiving an unverified phone threat. The emergency response affected Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis and Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center in Lanham, with law enforcement contacted to investigate.
The lockdown and Code Black at Anne Arundel Medical Center have since been lifted, but the Emergency Department at Doctors Community Medical Center remains in lockdown as a precaution. The hospital system provided the following statement:
Luminis Health received an unverified threat by phone this afternoon. Both of our hospitals were immediately placed on Code Black and lockdown, and we contacted law enforcement to investigate the matter…
