Following the state’s official designation of August 30th as Jimmy Buffett Day, coastal communities across Palm Beach and Broward counties are hosting multi-weekend tributes to the Mayor of Margaritaville.
From Delray Beach’s flagship pavilion party in late August to Hollywood Beach’s Labor Day weekend resort bash, here is your updated guide to dusting off your Hawaiian shirt, slipping on your flip-flops, and honoring Jimmy Buffett in style.
Delray’s “Party in Paradise” at Old School Square
The festivities launch in Palm Beach County on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Old School Square—a historic open-air venue where Jimmy Buffett himself once gave unannounced pop-up performances. Hosted by the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA), “Party in Paradise” transforms the amphitheater lawn into a sun-soaked tropical bash from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

- 5:00 PM: Gates open with an opening toast to Jimmy Buffett.
- 5:00 PM – 6:15 PM: Cape Universal
- 6:30 PM – 7:45 PM: Strawberry Lane

Along with live tunes, attendees can compete in a Parrot Head Costume Contest and a Limbo Competition, sample island dishes from street vendors, and enjoy drink specials from Atlantic Avenue merchant pop-ups.
