COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa. (WOWT) – The Boccia National Championships returned to Council Bluffs, drawing some of the country’s top wheelchair athletes to a city organizers say keeps earning their return visit — because of its accessibility.
Boccia is a Paralympic precision sport. Council Bluffs is hosting the tournament for the second time in three years, and organizers say the city’s walkability for wheelchair users is a primary reason they continue to select it.
