Kansas’ largest airport received more than $100,000 in emergency funding after 10.3 inches of rain damaged electrical components that power airfield lighting.
Without repairs, Wichita Eisenhower National Airport would be forced to cancel roughly one-third of its daily flights. But airport officials say they have been able to avoid disruptions after damage to one-third of the airport’s lighting regulators.
