Sedgwick County and Wichita invite public proposals to address substance abuse

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Sedgwick County and the City of Wichita are looking for project proposals to help combat substance abuse in the area. Chosen projects could receive money to help fund it.

In the aftermath of a lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies that awarded Kansas $340 million, Sedgwick County and Wichita received a slice of that money. The intention is to fight substance abuse in the community, but they’re asking for ideas on how to go about it.
